Easy Ways To Enjoy Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt has become pretty popular over the last few years. New flavors are popping up in grocery stores all the time and so are new recipes and ideas to incorporate Greek yogurt into our daily diets. My favorite way to enjoy Greek yogurt is to mix it (preferably lemon flavored but I enjoy plain as well) with fresh blueberries or strawberries and sliced almonds. I usually have this for breakfast or for a post-workout snack; it's delicious and so refreshing.

So what's so good about Greek yogurt? Well, for one thing, it's definitely high in protein. You will typically find that a serving of Greek yogurt has significantly more protein than regular yogurt, which makes it a great option for someone who struggles with getting enough protein in daily. The texture of Greek yogurt is thicker and creamier than regular yogurt which makes it a great alternative for sour cream and mayo, and also gives it more of a dessert-like quality if serving alongside fruit or other sweet treats.

If you have never tried Greek yogurt or are looking for new ways to incorporate it into your daily diet, check out these easy delicious ways to enjoy Greek yogurt.

Make a Parfait

Parfaits can become whatever you want them to be. That's what I love about them. Layers of yogurt (Greek!), fruit, and nutty granola make the perfect treat for the entire family.

Use as a Substitute for Mayo or Sour Cream

Greek yogurt's tangy flavor and creamy texture make it a healthy substitute for mayo or sour cream in almost anything. Jazz up your tuna and chicken salad with yogurt mixed with a little mustard or use it to add creaminess to a veggie-packed salad like this broccoli slaw with fresh cilantro.

Make a Fruit Dip

Pairing Greek yogurt with Nutella like this makes it perfect for healthy dipping. Serve up this dip at your next birthday party or play date — the kids (and moms!) will love it! And bonus, you can feel good about it, too.

Make Popsicles

With just two ingredients you can make a fun (and healthy) way to treat the kids — and yourself! The protein from the yogurt makes this "dessert" into an actual good-for-you snack!

Make Fro Yo

I don't know about you but my family is obsessed with fro yo. Wouldn't it be easier, less expensive, and just better to make it yourself at home? Find out how with this fantastic recipe.
