Dream Registry: Designer Waffles

While many brides wait for their KitchenAid standing mixers to be purchased off their registries, a more extravagant wish-list item has popped up.

A designer waffle maker, while not quite a necessity, would surely make a great addition to your kitchen — not to mention it would turn your blasé waffle into the stuff doughy dreams are made of. This custom appliance, if real, would be fantastic for fashionistas and the label-obsessed alike. Made by artist Andrew Lewicki, whose work portrays the whimsical side of ordinary objects.

This isn't his first food-fused project. Back in 2010, Lewicki made an Oreo cookie manhole cover and an Oreo-embroidered mattress.

Just think if Lewicki were in cahoots with Louis Vuitton on this one — big, big profits would be had all around. As for Oreo, we can imagine a ton of accidents would occur if those manholes were on roads across the country.
