Doritos Locos Tacos Taking Over The World

Sure, the Doritos Locos Tacos was super hyped up before its debut in March, but it looks like this fad isn't dying anytime soon.

The OC Register reports that 200 million Doritos Locos Tacos have been sold. The taco, which uses Doritos chip for the taco shell, is pretty much known for being amazing and terrible at the same time.

Naturally, Taco Bell is testing out new taco shell flavors, and while the brand has hinted at a Cool Ranch Doritos taco, OC Register's Nancy Luna also tested a Flamas taco shell, Doritos' hotter, spicy sister.

"During the taste test, I enjoyed the chili lime flavor of the Flamas taco shell over the less interesting Cool Ranch shell. The Flamas offered a two-dimensional flavor experience. At first, you taste a hint of lime with a bit of classic dusty red Doritos spice. Then, a blast of heat follows a few seconds later. It's a great pairing with Taco Bell's signature seasoned beef," Luna said. No word on when these mashups will hit stores.
