This Anejo has been aged for 3 to 10 years in American oak barrels. Neat is one of the best ways to drink Anejo rums, amd this recipe is from Don Q’s really gets the job done.

Ingredients

  • 2 Ounces Don Q Añejo
  • 3/4 Ounces Oloroso Sherry
  • 1/2 Ounce Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur
  • 2 Dashes of chocolate bitters
  • 1 1/2 Ounce orange peel

Directions

Mix all liquid ingredients, then fill with ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a orange peel. To do this, use a peel with as little pith (the white part) as possible. Heat the skin up under the flame and squeeze the oils out over the glass. Rim the glass with peel.
