The Dick Clark is a sophisticated tonic, heavy on nature’s most powerful curatives: ginger for your roiling belly and pomegranate for the antioxidants and vitamin B.
Ingredients
- 1 Ounce ginger liqueur (Domaine de Canton makes the industry standard, but you can also make your own)
- ½ Ounce pomegranate juice
- A few healthy dashes of ginger bitters
- Several ounces of champagne, to top
- Candied ginger
- ½ Ounce cognac
Directions
In a pint glass, combine the liqueur, bitters, and cognac, top with ice, and stir until cold. Strain into a champagne flute. Tipping the flute on an angle, drizzle the pomegranate juice into the booze. Set upright, and let the liquids separate; the pomegranate juice will settle to the bottom. Top with champagne and garnish with candied ginger.
