Cranberry Stuffing Recipe
Regardless of whether or not you cook your stuffing inside the turkey, no Thanksgiving dinner is complete without a side of stuffing. Most turkey stuffing consists of some type of bread (cubed cornbread or croutons, for example), aromatic vegetables like onion, carrot, and celery, and a variety of herbs, seasonings, and spices.
Every stuffing recipe is slightly different, though. Some use giblets and others don't. Some add fruit like apples or pears, and some add sausage. And, some stuffing recipes even replace the bread with another starch, like rice. If you're looking for a good stuffing recipe with a little twist, try this cranberry stuffing recipe; it calls for pre-made stuffing but you could easily use your favorite homemade stuffing instead. It also has plenty of natural sweetness thanks to the apples and dried cranberries.
This stuffing recipe also calls for walnuts, but if you don't have any on hand (or prefer a different nut instead) feel free to substitute; hazelnuts, almonds, or pecans would be delicious as well.
