"Snowy" Holiday Baking

In this week's SWAT (Sharing With A Theme), our food bloggers are wishing for snow and cooking up holiday-themed treats inspired by winter.

Our theme, "snow," was open to interpretation as I asked The Daily Meal's Culinary Content Network of bloggers to send me their recipes for treats — savory and sweet — alluding to, inspired by, or made with snow.

"Snow" could mean a number of things: Perhaps "snow" would mean copious amounts of powdered-sugar-dusted desserts or glittery white sprinkles adorning cookies. Maybe we'd see elaborate snowflake designs and decorations or creations covered in coconut flakes.

This recipe collection is composed of a select list of beautifully crafted recipes that fit perfectly into this theme — and don't expect to see a boring snow cone or any old snowball cookie.

Now that we have officially entered winter, it's time for snow! And maybe, just maybe, if we eat enough of these snowy treats, we will be graced with a white Christmas.
