Chef David Burke's "Bug Spray"

Just for the record, I’m not grilling outdoors without my citronella candles burning, either, but this all-natural (and technically edible) bug spray always adds an extra line of defense.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Cups water
  • 1 Cup lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons sea salt
  • 1/2 Cup sugar

Directions

Mix everything together in a Ziploc bag and seal the bag well. Tie to a branch of a tree near your barbecue.
