To kick off the new additions to his spring menu at Osteria Morini, Michael White launched a weeklong lunch special today. The special, which will run through Friday, April 29th, features a selection of half-price sandwiches accompanied by a choice of farroto or a mixed greens salad.
The four new dishes include a polpette sandwich (consisting of prosciutto and mortadella meatballs, cavolo nero, provolone, and salsa pomodoro) and an orotolana sandwich (a refreshing combination of freshly grilled vegetables, stracchino cheese, basil crema, and housemade tigelle). "How do you guys like MW bringing your sandwiches out to you himself?" the chef asked chuckling as he set the food down on the table.
In other Michael White news, the chef said he will be flying to Hong Kong in early May for the opening of Al Molo. his new seafood and pizza restaurant there. Stay tuned for more news on the opening.
