Candy Bar Croissants

These croissants taste as good as they look. This rich, buttery treat combines convenient refrigerated crescent rolls and chocolate bars.

Ingredients

  • One 8-ounce refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 Tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 1 1/2-ounce plain milk chocolate bars, broken into small pieces
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. 
Brush with the butter. Arrange the candy bar pieces evenly over the triangles and roll up from the wide end.

Place the point side down on a greased baking sheet and curve the ends slightly. Brush with the egg and sprinkle with the almonds. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
