Ben And Jerry's Releases New Flavor, 'Scotchy Scotch Scotch'
Ben and Jerry's has always been great at having their fingers on the pulse of American pop culture, and they've really nailed it this time with the release of their newest limited-time offering: Ron Burgundy's Scotchy Scotch Scotch, in honor of the upcoming Dec. 20 release of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The ice cream unfortunately doesn't contain actual Scotch whisky, but rather butterscotch ice cream with a butterscotch swirl. It was unveiled Tuesday night, Oct. 22, at an event in New York in which Nutty the Waterskiing Squirrel made an appearance, along with a news van full of Ron Burgundy lookalikes.
The limited-time offer will soon pop up in all retail locations. We had the chance to sample some for ourselves, and as is the case with most Ben & Jerry's products, there's not much not to like here. The golden-colored ice cream is smooth, creamy, and full of butterscotch flavor, and the deep yellow swirls are slightly crunchy and double up on the butterscotch. If you're a big fan of butterscotch, this very well may be your new favorite ice cream.
