Bar d'Eau Previews Drinks And Hors d'Oeuvres At Trump SoHo New York
Tuesday's rainy weather didn't stop the Trump SoHo New York from hosting a preview of Bar d'Eau's drinks before its official opening date of May 25.
The bar is located on the seventh floor pool deck of the hotel, where visitors can sun by the pool on lounge chairs shaded by gold tents and take in the panoramic views of the city. And for those inevitable rainy summer days, the bar also has an indoor area.
The preview event was held in part to showcase some of the specialty drinks that the bar will be serving throughout the summer, including Moët Ice Imperial, the first champagne designed to be poured over ice. Bar d'Eau is one of the only places in New York to carry the champagne, which is popular in Europe and other luxury resorts around the world, according to Andreas Oberoi, general manager of the Trump SoHo New York.
"I think this is a very unique proposition here in the summer," Oberoi said. "We are one of the only hotels to feature a pool in the lounge area."
Two cocktails were served at the event: Rose on Spring, made with pomegranate liqueur, Belvedere, spritzes of rose water, and garnished with a rose petal; and the Belvedere Lemon Iced Tea, made with Belvedere lemon tea, black tea, and lemonade, garnished with a lemon.
When the bar opens for the summer season, a variety of specialty drinks and light fare will be served. Order yourself a Rose on Spring while lounging by the pool, and snack on bites like spicy tuna tartare and won ton chips.
