The Authentic Tequila Experience at Puerto Vallarta's CasaMagna Marriott

The resort and spa grows its own agave on premises for its house-brand tequila

Celebrating National Tequila Day at your favorite Mexican restaurant or tequila bar? How about celebrating at the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and drinking its housemade tequila?

Fortunately, at the swanky resort and spa, every day is National Tequila Day. It's one of the very few resorts in the world that grows its own agave azul (what tequila is made of) on its property, and produces its own proprietary brand of tequila. The tequilas on tap: joven (young), blanco (white), resposado (rested), anejo (aged), and extra anejo (extra aged). The resort features Secretos del Tequila, a tequila appreciation experience developed to increase guests’ knowledge of and appreciation for tequila. The experience includes tours of the agave garden and a Tequila Sommelier who has been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council and conducts tasting classes for guests.

So while you're lounging in the picturesque Bay Banderas, sip on one of the resort's 126 distinct by-the-glass tequila options; or heck — get a spa treatment that uses agave. At the resort's Ohtli Spa, try the Agave Syrup, Cornmeal & Sea Salt Scrub —  heavenly.

Try the CasaMagna Marriott's signature margaritas; while they use CasaMagna's own tequila, they can easily be switched out for your favorite brand. Cheers!
