Weekly Chef/Menu Report: The Week Of April 14, 2014

Every week, we take a look at some new chefs and menus that have appeared across the country. Here's this week's roundup:

New York

Becca Punch has joined Bowery's Kiwi-themed Musket Room as pastry chef. Punch was formerly at Eleven Madison Park.

The recently-opened Bea out of Hell's Kitchen has announced a new brunch menu from Chef Anunya Clarke of Añejo. The menu will include pancakes with rosemary honey and berries and a smoked salmon sandwich.

The East Village's East 12th Osteria is featuring a new $88 three-course prix fixe menu Monday to Wednesday until May 14, which will include selections from their spring menu.

The Upper East Side's Arlington Club has added a new lunch menu that will include sushi, specialty burgers, French dip, and a daily prix fixe for $25.

The Upper East Side's Writing Room has unveiled a new happy hour – they'll be offering 20% off everything from 4 to 6 pm and after 10pm, Monday through Saturday. They've also launched a new spring menu that's set to include shellfish stew and smoked pork shoulder.

San Diego

The Cravory has announced special spring cookies, including a red wine cookie, an Easter egg cookie featuring Cadbury Cream Eggs, and a churro cookie.

San Francisco

Nick's Cove, located 50 miles north of San Francisco, has announced a special Mother's Day menu that includes crab benedict with arugula, avocado and hollandaise, and mascarpone cheesecake with strawberry sauce from pastry chef Fernanda Hurst.

Washington DC

Alexandria Virginia's Restaurant Eve is celebrating its ten year anniversary with a seven course tasting menu.
