Angelo Sosa On His New Restaurant, 'Flavor Exposed' Cookbook
Angela Sosa may be getting all philosophical about his newest concept, Juxtapose, but there's plenty of changes happening in his current restaurants as well.
First up, at Social Eatz, the Top Chef alum will be dishing up new creations and drinks, the latter mixed up by new mixologist Orson Salicetti.
Then, his tequileria Añejo is pouring from an extensive list of tequilas (30 or 40, he tells us), along with homestyle Mexican food. "We carry some bottles that are very rare but we're not about hitting people over the head with the cost; we really want to have people experience tequila and see the beauty in tequila," he told us.
As for his upcoming cookbook, Flavor Exposed, Sosa promises 100 global recipes from his travels to Singapore, France, and Spain, with sections divided by flavor (sweet, spicy, salty, umami, etc.) Watch in the video above as he talks about the "Umami" section, which features a story, naturally, about his "mami." Plus, he spills a tidbit about an upcoming spring roll line launching in the fall.
