When it comes to food, Father's Day is a whole different animal from Mother's Day. There are no outings to brunches and champagne here — Father's Day is all about firing up the grill, dusting off that patio table, popping open a few beers, and inviting a bunch of friends and family over to celebrate. Especially since, for many people, the holiday coincides with the start of summer, the kids finishing up school, neighbors planning block parties (OK, maybe not everyone has those anymore), and friends thinking about fishing trips and beach outings.
And on Father's Day, it's perfectly acceptable to make Dad cook.
