The Cracker Brand Anne Burrell Can't Go Without

Food Network star Anne Burrell has never been shy about expressing her opinions about food — but some are more surprising than others. The "Worst Cooks in America" co-host has given us plenty of sneak peeks inside her pantry over the years, and surprisingly enough, according to Real Simple, Burrell enjoys some of the same quick, easy snacks many of us munch on when we need a little nibble before dinner. Did someone say hummus?

Food & Wine reports that one of Burrell's pantry staples is a cracker brand that many of us have in our own kitchens. It's not something we'd find on a fancy snack platter or charcuterie board, but it's tasty nonetheless. We may not all have the celebrity chef's cooking or hosting chops, but we can definitely snack like she does. In fact, her favorite cracker is so commonplace that some of us have spent a lifetime eating it. Burrell has a point — who can resist a good, old-fashioned plate of cheese and crackers? Certainly not us.

Anne Burrell loves Trisuits

Although it might be hard to imagine Anne Burrell wandering the aisles at your local grocery store and plucking cracker boxes off the shelves, that might be exactly what she does. According to Real Simple, Burrell's favorite cracker brand is a supermarket staple that comes in a little yellow box.

It turns out that she's especially fond of Triscuits. If you just taste salt every time you eat the triangular crackers and wonder why any chef would enjoy a cracker with a less complex flavor profile, you may feel relieved to know that Burrell prefers her Triscuits with hummus or cheese, which she always keeps around to satisfy her snack cravings. Triscuits aren't the only type of cracker she enjoys either — Burrell says she has "a ton of different crackers at home," (per Food & Wine). With all of the nostalgia wrapped up in Triscuits, it's no surprise that they rank high on the chef's list.

Anne Burrell has plenty of other food staples

Naturally, Anne Burrell keeps her pantry fully stocked — and she has far more favorites than just Triscuits. Some of her favorite snacks would pair well with those Triscuits, though, especially for a party.

Many of Burrell's food staples are snacks, but others are her kitchen necessities for flavorful meals. According to Real Simple, the chef has shared that she always has Persian cucumbers and cherry tomatoes on hand for a little snack every now and then. Burrell has also described salt, olive oil, and bacon as "the holy trinity" of her kitchen (per Restaurant Hospitality), and it's no shock that bacon is near the top of her list of favorite foods, considering how often she incorporates it into her dishes. That salt and olive oil would pair well with one of her favorite dishes, Bolognese, and yes, according to Restaurant Hospitality, she makes her own.

Burrell also stocks her kitchen with a variety of canned beans for her vegetarian chili (via Forbes). Triscuits might be Anne Burrell's biggest snack staple, but those little crackers are far from the only item in her diverse array of pantry essentials.
