A classic grilled cheese sandwich of cheddar cheese melted between two slices of buttered white bread is hard to beat, but there are a few variations and new ingredients that can take a traditional melt to new levels. Using different breads like brioche or whole-wheat and mixing up the cheeses with Gruyère or gorgonzola are just a few delicious new takes on grilled cheese sandwiches.
There are many ways to prepare a grilled cheese sandwich and we decided it would be the ideal theme for this week’s SWAT (Sharing With A Theme). We put the Culinary Content Network and our staff to the test to come up with grilled cheese recipes and here are some of the highlights:
