Donald Trump Is A Big Fan Of Fast Food And Calls McDonald's The Epitome Of 'Cleanliness'

There's a lot of pressure on presidential candidates to say the right thing, but what about eating the right food? One executive office hopeful isn't afraid to let his fast food flag fly: Donald Trump.

The egomaniacal real estate mogul admitted in an interview with Anderson Cooper that he's a pretty big fan of fast food, and sometimes even has it delivered to his private plane.

"I think the food is good. I think all of those places, Burger King, McDonald's, I can live with it," he said. "The other night I had Kentucky Fried Chicken. Not the worst thing in the world."

His favorite McDonald's menu item is apparently the Filet-O-Fish or as he called it, "you know, the fish Delight."

Some might raise a questioning eyebrow at the thought of a presidential candidate chowing down on greasy, lowest common denominator cuisine, but Trump was quick to defend his eating habits, by remarking upon the sanitation quality of McDonald's food. After all, cleanliness is next to McGodliness.

"I like cleanliness. I think you're better off going there than someplace you have no idea where the food is coming from. It's a certain standard," Trump said. "The one thing about the big franchises: one bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald's. One bad hamburger, you take Wendy's and all these other places and they're out of business."
