Doug is just a wrinkly 5-year-old pug living in Nashville. Oh, and he also has 2.8 million Instagram followers as well as astounding fan bases on Facebook and Twitter. This pooch regularly hangs with celebrities — Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry — and has become quite the furry little food hound.

When Doug was just a puppy, “momager” Leslie Mosier created his epicurean online personality: Doug the Pug. “When I started posting photos of Doug, I quickly realized that photos of him with food or a piece of pizza always did better,” Mosier told Food & Wine. “Before long, his personality and brand developed, and he became this junk food aficionado. Anyone who loves pugs knows that they’re gluttons.”

Doug has posed with pretzels, pizza from Domino’s (with whom he just landed a sponsorship), Pop-Tarts, cereal, burgers, fries, tater tots, queso and chips, bacon, ice cream, Starbucks coffee, and more. One especially relatable post features the chunky chap nuzzled beneath Twizzlers, Pringles, tortilla chips, and powdered doughnuts. The caption reads, “’I’d rather cuddle with my snacks than cuddle with u’ –Doug.”

Although Doug never eats his props, Mosier says he does feast like a prince. “He eats a raw diet and has a nutritionist. When we do photo shoots, we always have fresh beef treats for him, so he doesn’t get sad to not be eating the people food,” she told Food & Wine.
