Most locations of Burger King open at 6 a.m. and begin serving breakfast at that time. If it’s a 24-hour location, breakfast time may start earlier than that. But at all locations, there’s a hard cutoff on breakfast hours: 10:30 a.m. sharp. But when does lunch become available?
Because most Burger King locations are owned by franchisees who can set some of their own rules based on what’s best for business, the chain doesn’t start serving lunch at one specific time across the board. So you may want to call ahead, but on the whole the company begins serving lunch between 10 and 10:30 a.m.
If you absolutely must have your Whopper at 8 a.m., however, you’re in luck: A couple years ago, Burger King rolled out a “Burgers for Breakfast” program in response to many franchisees who were serving unsanctioned burgers before official lunch hours began. A surprisingly wide assortment of lunchtime items were made available early in the morning at 6,000 locations nationwide, but it’s unclear how many are still offering it.
