Will You Tune In To 'Magic City'?

Magic City is Starz' new original series that chronicles the sexy, sultry, and often sinister world of Ike Evans and his glamorous Miramar Playa Hotel.  Set in 1959, it is the latest in a string of shows trying to unveil life as it was in the Mad Men era, only instead of advertising, this is about hotels and hospitality, and instead of New York City, this is the white-hot town of Miami. So while Mad Men presses on with ever more fans, we can't help but look at the recent flops that were Pan Am and The Playboy Club, both set in the same era and hoping to achieve the same kind of luxe flashback. Magic City just premiered March 30 and has us wondering — did you tune in? Do you plan on it?

The series starts on New Year's Eve at the glamorous Miramar Playa Hotel and we soon find that nothing in this sleek, fabulous world is as easy as it seems — Ike is in bed with local mob boss Ben "The Butcher" Diamond (we're docking points for the nickname).
