Ultimate Chocolate Cake

Made with fresh, all-natural chocolates from Lake Champlain Chocolates, this cake could be considered the ultimate because of its taste and sustainable ingredients. 

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup unsweetened cocoa, preferably organic and fair trade, such as Lake Champlain
  • 3 Cups flour
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 2 1/3 Cups warm water
  • 2 Teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 Cup melted butter
  • 2 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Stir in the wet ingredients. Beat until smooth. Butter a tube cake pan and dust with flour. Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick is removed dry.
