Snackshot of the Day: Ice Cream Sandwiches

Photos of all things food and drink from The Daily Meal

An ice cream cookie sandwich is basically two desserts in one.

The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking.

Today's Snackshot is of ice cream sandwiches from Sweet Flour Bake Shop in Toronto. Nothing makes an ice cream sandwich better than making it with cookies. These are great desserts for a party because they're easy to make, easy to store, and easy to eat. Try experimenting with different kinds of cookies or different flavors of ice cream. If you're feeling really ambitious, try making an ice cream sandwich bar so your guests can make their own. The best things are always a little messy, right?
