What is it about fashion and food? Though evidently very different, they both seem to intersect regularly.

While models continue to strut the runway season after season and seasonal menus are rolled out by chefs from coast to coast, the colors, textures, and themes of the two industries are often surprisingly similar. 

The Resort 2013 shows just finished up last week and the fabric, beading, and color scheme choices mirrored many of the current trends in the food and entertaining worlds. 

With sea-foam green and ballet pink gracing Chanel’s stunning catwalk as well as the tables of many summer weddings, and crocheted ombré sits at Missoni spawning fondant counterparts, the parallels are uncanny.
