René Redzepi is MAD about Food
Danish chef René Redzepi is hosting his second annual MAD Symposium, an outdoor festival dedicated to better understanding food and the role of the chef, in Refshaleøen, Copenhagen July 1 and 2.
MAD 2012 brings together farmers, scholars, and chefs who are mindful about the food they eat, to talk about food experiences and create culinary understanding.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘appetite’ and how it inspires and drives a person. Confirmed chef guests of this collaborative forum include Ferran Adria, Massimo Bottura, Fergus Henderson, and Redzepi, who will be speaking and performing at the event.
Redzepi has twice been ranked number one on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List.
Tickets are $350, which includes breakfast and lunch for both days.
