Mini Cinnamon Roll Waffles on a Stick
This easy dessert kabob, ready in just minutes, will satisfy your state fair cravings. Don’t forget to wipe the waffle maker down with oil after each set of waffles. Serve these kabobs with the icing that comes in the cinnamon bun package or whip up a quick chocolate sauce.
- Vegetable oil
- 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing, such as Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Supreme (5 rolls)
- 5 wooden skewers
- 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar, if desired
Heat a Belgian-style waffle maker. Grease generously with oil.
Separate the dough into 5 rolls; set the icing aside. Cut each roll into quarters, and gently shape them into mini cinnamon roll shapes. Lightly brush all sides of the dough with oil before placing onto the hot waffle maker. Space the dough pieces diagonally apart from one another, fitting 2 to 4 pieces on the waffle maker at a time. Close the lid of the waffle maker.
Bake until lightly browned and cooked, 1 to 1½ minutes. Using a wooden kitchen utensil, carefully remove the waffles to a cooling rack. Repeat with the remaining cinnamon roll dough, greasing the waffle maker and dough each time.
Thread 4 waffle pieces on each wooden skewer, and serve with icing. Sprinkle waffles with powdered sugar.
