These turkey burgers are based on a fabulous recipe from Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint Cookbook. His recipe is actually called Fried Eggs Over Green Chili Burgers, and is yet another high-protein entrée from the king of primal that my entire family enjoyed.
- Two 4-ounce cans diced green chiles
- 1 Pound ground turkey
- 1 Cup finely chopped cilantro
- 1/2 Cup finely chopped onion
- 2 Teaspoons cumin
- 1 Teaspoon chili powder
- 1 Teaspoon Celtic sea salt
In a medium-sized bowl mix the diced chiles with turkey, cilantro, onion, cumin, chili powder, and salt together, careful not to overmix.
Form into 4 patties. Preheat the grill to medium-high and grill the patties until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
