Bourbon Vanilla and Ginger Beer Float
This decadent float gives you all the flavors of a whiskey soda, plus ice cream! We love the crisp taste of ginger combined with the richness of vanilla.
In a tall glass, scoop ice cream until glass is about 2/3 to 3/4 full.
Pour ginger beer over the ice cream along with bourbon, if desired.
Spices and dried herbs have a shelf life too, and lose potency over time. The rule of thumb is, if your spices are over two years old, it's time to buy some new ones.
Toasting whole spices before using them intensifies their aroma and flavor.
