Man Fleeing London Terror Attacks With His Pint Of Beer Hailed As British Hero
On Saturday, the strength of the British people was again tested as multiple terrorist attacks on London Bridge and in Borough Market killed seven and injured 48. However, even in the face of fear and danger, as the second major attack in the past two weeks terrorized UK citizens, many Brits have done what they do best: find humor in a grim situation.
An image of a man fleeing the attacks on London Bridge and clutching his half-finished pint of beer has gone viral. The unknown man is being touted as an "unofficial hero" and a symbol of the British spirit. The man has not been identified, but the grainy image of his heroic "rescue" of a pub pint has already become a meme.

The patriotic spirit and dark humor is much-needed in a time of crisis in Great Britain. Despite the attacks in London on Saturday, the benefit concert in Manchester featuring Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Chris Martin, Katy Perry, and more went on as planned on Sunday. Proceeds from the concert benefitted the victims of the May 22 terrorist attack in Manchester.
