Your Favorite '90s Lip Balm Wants You To Create Its Next Flavor

Lip Smacker, the "world's first flavored lip balm" and '90s kid beauty staple, has worked with big brands in the food and drink industry including Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Skittles, and Starburst. Now, the company wants to give one consumer a chance to make his or her dream lip balm flavor as Lip Smacker's first official tastemaker.

Lip balm lovers can submit their ideas on the Lip Smacker Instagram page by commenting the flavor name, three ingredients, and a brief description (whether the flavor is salty, sweet, etc.), according to the press release. A few fan ideas so far are "BBQ chip" by user emilylewalski, "white chocolate churro" by pau.williams, and "rose water" by 0hsmush. One user, luna__creates, even suggested a rainbow flavor with a different fruit for each color (essentially the unicorn-version of lip balm).

The contest will narrow down the top five flavors, with voting starting on May 30. On June 28, a winner will be announced.

Along with bragging rights, as a tastemaker for the company, your winning flavor will be brought to life and sold exclusively at Lip Smacker's online shop. The winner will also receive a personalized, blinged-out "Biggy," a jumbo-sized lip balm.
