A US Open Pop-Up Restaurant Is Opening In Grand Central Terminal On August 12

At 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, the U.S. Tennis Association will open a pop-up restaurant in New York City's Grand Central Terminal featuring the food of the U.S. Open, which starts August 31.

The restaurant will be open inside Vanderbilt Hall until the early afternoon, and will feature food from U.S. Open chefs Richard Sandoval (Maya, La Biblioteca) and Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia, Bar Toma).

All the food will be free, and will include the Open's signature lobster roll; Mantuano's tomato bread with serrano ham; Sandoval's chopped salad with chayote, jicama, tomato, and  shredded chicken tinga from Maya; and Hill Country Barbecue's chopped brisket sliders. Chef Mantuano himself will also make a guest appearance.

Anyone who visits the event will have the chance to win prizes at the pop-up, and all guests will receive an exclusive Ticketmaster discount code to buy U.S. Open tickets.
