Is This The Most Extravagant Thanksgiving Buffet Ever?

Clement restaurant at the Peninsula Hotel in New York may only be a year old, but like the Fives restaurant that it replaced, it already has a reputation as one of the most extravagant Thanksgiving buffets that money can buy. Feeling short on casserole-cooking willpower? Check out the Thanksgiving buffet menu at Clement, crafted by chef Brandon Kida and pastry chef Deden Putra, which features no less than 60 dishes, including oysters, caviar, risotto with truffles, leg of lamb, honey baked ham, turkey, prime rib, grits, mini pumpkins, root vegetable tarte... and we haven't even gotten to the desserts yet. To round out the meal, there will be three types of pie, a variety of chocolates and cookies, chocolate cake, poached pear parfait, and cheesecake for guests who need to satisfy their sweet tooth.

"When I joined Clement I was excited to try something new and offer a coursed holiday menu. What I did not realize was that so many of our guests and their families had come to expect to celebrate with our holiday buffets," chef Kida explained to The Daily Meal. "This is my big winter holiday buffet debut at Clement and I want to do it right. I have to make sure that our guests are truly delighted and impressed with the selection of dishes and range of flavors."

Are you ready to cancel your Thanksgiving Day plans with the in-laws yet? It'll cost you $155 per person (or $75 for kids under the age of 12), and there are still spots left at Clement's table.
