Driver Runs Over Man In McDonald's Drive-Thru, Proceeds To Pick Up His Order

A 48-year-old resident of Queens, N.Y. was critically injured on Saturday, November 22 when he was run over in the McDonald's drive-thru by a hungry customer, reports The New York Daily News.

The victim, thought to be intoxicated at the time, "had fallen down in the drive-through lane of the McDonald's" and the location's night manager, Jonathan Brown, went to call the cops.

"Thirty seconds later, a car came and just hit him," said Brown.

The victim reportedly struggled to move as he was pinned down by the driver's Nissan. The driver, meanwhile, backed off the man and proceeded to pick up his order at the drive-thru menu before fleeing the scene. Brown did not have time to warn his employees, who did not witness the incident.

The hit-and-run driver remains unidentified and the victim, who was rushed to Jamaica Hospital by EMS workers, is in critical but stable condition.
