This New Starbucks Frappuccino Is Topped With A Slice Of Chocolate Cake

Now you can have your cake and drink it too. Starbucks Japan has released a new Frappuccino that's topped with a small slice of chocolate cake. The two-in-one dessert is an almond-flavored Frappuccino sprinkled with green tea matcha powder, drizzled with bright green matcha sauce, and finished off with a dollop of whipped cream and a tiny, round chocolate cake.

The alternate version of the "Chocolate Cake-Topped Frappuccino with Matcha Shot" Frappuccino comes with coffee-flavored syrup instead of matcha flavoring, and — according to Starbucks Japan — combines the best of "drinking coffee while eating chocolate cake."

Unfortunately, both ingenious creations are only available in Japan for now. But if you happen to be in Japan this summer, the green tea matcha version will be released on June 14 and the coffee shot flavor is out on June 23. They'll be in stores around the country until July 13.

This is the second time this year that Starbucks Japan has turned their Frappuccino drinks into full-on desserts. In April, we announced the Cherry Pie Frappuccinos that came with pie crust "lids."
