Living La Dolce Vita In Hawaii
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai celebrates the sweet life with its 'La Dolce Vita' event through Saturday. Epicurean adventures include cooking classes, interactive culinary outings, tastings, and gourmet dinners complimented by the resort's idyllic ocean and beachfront views.
"We continue to bring our guests culinary events, ones that allow them to not only experience great food, but to interact with our chefs, great winemakers, and special friends," said Robert Whitfield, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.
Afternoon events include attend tastings, wine discussions, and lectures such as Bubble & Bon Bons and Olive Oil 101. Once the sun sets, Nick Mastracusa, executive sous chef, and Steve and Chrystal Clifton, owners of Palmina and partners of Brewer-Clifton wines, will cook up meals incorporating the ingredients and recipes guests have picked, tasted, or learned about earlier in the day.
The Taste of Wow dinner will serve made-to-order spaghetti with wild boar meatballs and Barbera wine featuring fresh tomatoes selected by guests at the Wow Farm Tour lunch and wine tasting on Tuesday. Chef Mastracusa will teach his grandmother's receipe for gnocchi while guests sip on homemade sangria on Thursday. That night, Chef Mastracusa will prepare the gnocchi guests made and serve it with Palmina's Alisos wine.
Prices range from $30-$50 for tastings and classes and $75 – $125 for dinner. Contact the concierge at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai to make your reservation.
