LA's Bottega Louie Offers Special Holiday Pastries, Cakes, And Gift Baskets
Tucked in the corner of Grand and Seventh streets downtown is the massive, airy Bottega Louie. Marbled walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open kitchen give breathing room for diners at the café tables and chefs in the three cooking areas — a main kitchen, wood-fire pizza oven, and bread and pastry oven. Diners can get all types of pizza and pasta here, as well as steak and chicken dishes.
This holiday season, the restaurant's large glass patisserie and market area showcase a wide variety of specialty desserts and breads.
New pastries and cakes are now available both in store and online through Dec. 25. Holiday pastries include an eggnog cheesecake, mont blanc buche, mint chocolate chip cake, hazelnut wreath, gingerbread cake, "Santa's Hat" red velvet cake, spice cookie tree, panettone, and honey shortbread cookies with decorated fondant.
There are also plenty of specialty macarons, which are Bottega Louie's most popular items. Macarons come in 17 gourmet flavors as well as special holiday flavors. Also on offer are sea-salted caramels, specialty chocolates, and hot chocolate mix. A variety of chocolate bars, homemade marshmallows, meringues, and cookies, as well as coffee, pasta sauces, and jellies are available at Bottega Louie's marketplace. Its large variety of gift boxes includes caramels, chocolates, hot cocoa, macarons, dark chocolate mocha beans, Champagne, olive oil, pasta sauce, and candies.
