7-Eleven's Bring Your Own Cup Day Is Back
On Friday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 19, you can grab your favorite mug, mason jar, wine glass, vase, fish bowl — whatever container you plan on using as a "cup" — and head to any participating 7-Eleven in America between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to fill it up with sweet frozen Slurpee drink for just $1.50.
That means that, for the third year in a row, you can enjoy multiple slushy flavors in anything cup-shaped, from a teapot to a KFC bucket — for less money than your morning coffee. The only restrictions are that your vessel must be watertight, "food-safe clean," and able to fit upright within a 10-inch hole.
Customers tend to get creative for the occasion. Their dedication to challenging the definition of "cup" has resulted in some pretty humorous photos, which 7-Eleven wants you to share with the hashtag #BYOCupDay.
Be forewarned, though: Slurpees may have become an iconic treat, but they're one of the 11 worst things you can eat or drink at 7-Eleven.
