2 Kids Hide In Supermarket Overnight, Ransack $386 In Food And Booze

Police are investigating a theft at a U.K. grocery store after two boys were locked in overnight and allegedly helped themselves to almost £300 (roughly $386) worth of food and booze. The boys, thought to be aged 12 and 13, hid among the racks of the clothing department of Sainsbury's Kingsgate until the store closed at 10 p.m., according to East Kilbride News.

Workers arriving for their early-morning shifts discovered the pair at 2 a.m., and the boys' parents were called to pick up their children, who are "safe and well." Now police are looking for a camera and two memory cards that were reported missing from the store's inventory.

Store representatives claim to be stepping up their security protocols, telling East Kilbride News, "It's shocking that security guards failed to notice the two boys." While we don't recommend this method, here are 14 brilliant tips to save money at the grocery store.
