The Kitchen Table wants budding chefs to discover the flavors of America during its summertime Food Tour USA cooking classes in Denver. Food Tour USA teaches celebrated recipes of American regional and multi-cultural cuisines from Southern comfort to spicy Cajun to mid-Atlantic fare.
Food Tour USA is whipping up the best of California in its California's Dreamin' demonstration on July 19. The class creates three dishes showcasing the distinct culinary styles of Northern, Central, and Southern California.
The menu includes Central California's artichoke Napoleon, Northern California's dungeness crab cioppino served with crusty bread, and Southern California's Jonathan apple and sweet cheese empanadas. Each dish is paired with a glass of authentic California wine.
Traveling back to its roots, Food Tour USA is holding a class on the Rocky Mountain region on August 23. Using fresh, seasonal vegetables and game from local farms, delicacies from Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah will be featured.
Guests learn how to make dishes such as Utah rainbow trout with Colorado Palisade peach compote, Montana rack of lamb with fresh sage and toasted pint nuts with a cherry demi-glaze, Colorado roasted San Luis Valley potatoes with haystack mountain goat cheese and hickory smoked bacon, and Wyoming huckleberry sorbet with shortbread cookies.
Food Tour USA classes are held from 6 pm - 9 pm and are $95 a person.
