Celebrity Chefs Deliver Delicious Dining In New York

Celebrity Chef Tour returns for another round of delicious dining at Tom Colicchio's Riverpark in New York City June 27. Five James Beard Award-winning chefs with Minneapolis roots are joining host chef Sisha Ortuzar to cook up a collaborative culinary feast. Each celebrity chef is preparing one canapé and one main dish.

Featured chefs include Tim McKee of La Belle Vie and Sea of Change, Gavin Kaysen of Cafe Boulud, Andrews Zimmern of the Travel Channel series Bizarre Foods America, Alex Roberts of Alma and Brasa, and Isaac Becker of 112 Eatery.

The evening begins with a canapé reception, where chefs present a series of gourmet bites paired with carefully selected wines and Stella Artois beer. Guests can nibble on Zimmern's goat tartare, Roberts's rabbit rillette and piperade with olive oil crackers, and Becker's Le Quecia Rossa prosciutto with fried bread and Minnesota honey.

McKee is preparing star prairie trout with fois gras bites, Ortuzar is making radish tempura with white anchovies and bronze fennel aioli canapés, and Kaysen is serving shaved cuttlefish with peas and espelette hor d'oeuvres.

The dinner menu includes Ortuzar's goat cheese panna cotta with Riverpark farm vegetables, Zimmern's raw giant Pacific clam crude, McKee's sautéed branzino with whipped brandade, Becker's tagliatelle pasta with fois gras meatballs, Roberts' grilled quail with marinated shitakes and sweet potato, and Kaysen's dry aged rib-eye with green asparagus and bone marrow.

For dessert, Riverpark's chef Angie Lee is whipping up peach shortcake with lemon verbena ice cream.

Tickets for this event are $200.
