Subway Is Giving Away Its Own Diamond-Encrusted Super Bowl 2023 Ring. Here's What You Need To Know

It's that time of year again when football fans across the nation turn their attention to the Super Bowl and the epic showdown that awaits. History.com explains that the very first Super Bowl took place in 1967 and featured teams from rival leagues. During that game, the American Football League's Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the National Football League's Green Bay Packers, who emerged victorious with a score of 35 to 10. The competition grew in popularity over the ensuing years and is now one of the most iconic sports events in history.

This year, the Super Bowl LVII is happening in Phoenix, Arizona, which will also be home to the Super Bowl Experience, according to NFL.com. Taking place from February 4 to February 11, this massive event is home to lots of fun games and happenings. Visitors to the Phoenix Convention Center will get to enjoy photo ops with the Vince Lombardi trophy, as well as the Super Bowl Rings from previous years. Fans can also get autographs from their favorite players and take part in games that put them in the center of the action.

Those lucky enough to be in Phoenix for the Super Bowl LVII also have a chance to win a special prize, courtesy of Subway.

Subway offers MVP treatment to football fans

Subway is making Super Bowl LVII a game to remember for fans in Phoenix. Per a Jan. 30 press release, the sandwich chain is holding an event within the Phoenix Convention Center during the Super Bowl Experience. The Subway Series Super Bowl LVII Showdown is a trivia competition that combines names from the Subway Series of sandwiches with Super Bowl history. Those who know their stuff have a chance to win all sorts of exciting prizes, including tickets to the big game and autographed memorabilia.

However, the real prize is the 10k gold championship ring that's also up for grabs. The 16-carat ring features more than 600 diamonds and other gemstones and is the product of The GLD Shop, a jeweler and official licensee of the NFL, NBA, and MLB.

The game begins February 9, and participants must download the NFL One Pass app and register for the game at the Phoenix Convention Center to be eligible. Twelve winners will be named each day.
