Zokos: Host A Party Without The Hassle

Throwing a party or hosting a dinner is not light on the wallet, especially when the guest list is a large one.

Which is why Zokos, a new service that helps you plan and budget your event with the help of your guests, was created. Instead of friends and family bringing a gift, they can pitch in with the cost of the party, from groceries to unexpected items that a host might have to dish out money for.

From the inception of the event until party time, guests will be in the loop and able to keep track of what's going on. You can divvy out responsibilities and reach your goal together!

These are the rules according to Zokos:

Create an event: Set a goal for your party — a minimum number of guests. You can also set a maximum and share the details like when and where.

Invite guests: Use Facebook and Gmail to easily fill your guest list. Invite as many people as you like — it's first come, first served! This encourages your guests to RSVP sooner. To animate more people to come, your guests can also invite friends of their own to create a good mix of familiar and new people.

Set chip-in price: Set your menu, then say how much guests should chip in. Sharing the cost means you can host better parties, more often. Guests safely and easily transfer money with PayPal.

Collect & enjoy!: If you reach your goal by noon the day before your event, the party is on! Your PayPal account will be credited. No one is charged until the goal is reached, so if there isn't as much interest as you wanted, you're not on the hook to throw the party. Never again worry about people flaking on you.

Why can't party planning always be this easy?
