World's Smallest Beer Shop Sets Record
It's not big enough to hold a party, but the the smallest beer shop in the world really knows how to stock a party. New reports show that The Little Shop, a 11-by-12 foot storefront, located in Herefordshire, Britain, has claimed the record as the, well, world's smallest beer shop.
The World Records Academy has crowned it the smallest of small; originally, the space was an animal rescue center before owner Andre Marsh converted it. The shop, about the size of nine telephone boxes reports The Daily Mail, sells nearly 500 beers, wines, and ciders. Among its best-sellers: Leominster, Wye Valley and Hobson's ales.
Marsh told the World Records Academy that the shop is a tourist point for his town, Leominster. Said Marsh, "There are some good pubs in Leominster. It could lead to better things for the town."
