Winemaker's Notes

40% shiraz, 40% grenache and 20% Mourvedre. Quite remarkable lifted floral and spicy scents on this wine. The perfume flavors are still in abundance on the palate, keeping company with the fruit character of raspberry, mulberry along with some pepper and spice. This is an immensely attractive and concentrated wine. 5 - 8 years.

About the Region

North of Adelaide and Barossa, this pioneering Australian wine region grows chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, and other varieties, but is famous above all for its riesling. These wines, most of them made by a few dozen small wineries, are clean and bright and known for their vivid expression of varietal character.
