What's Cooking On 1060: Pop-Up Picnic, Food Truck Festival, And Casino Dining
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Netanya DiBona is the co-host of Philadelphia's third annual Diner En Blanc, a secret, elegant, bring-your-own-everything, pop-up picnic taking place on Thursday, August 21st.
"And people enjoy a great meal under the stars in an undisclosed space — they're led there," she explains. "It's secret until they get there, and it's just a great party!"
And, as the name implies, everyone is expected to wear white.

"We're busy working on deals, and as soon as we have all the T's crossed and the I's dotted, we're going to announce names," she tells What's Cooking. "You will recognize the names. They are great places to eat, but that's as much as I can say right now."
Although she acknowledges that "there just might be a steakhouse, absolutely."

And mark your calendars for August 28th. That's the date of the first-ever "Food Truck Festivus," in Franklin Square.
"The highlight, of course, is going to be the food," says Cari Feiler Bender, a spokeswoman for Historic Philadelphia, which manages the park at 6th and Race Streets. "Philly is now known for these great, fabulous food trucks, and a couple of really great favorites are going to be there. Little Baby's Ice Cream, Cow and the Curd, Lemonade and the Grilled Cheese — there are some great food trucks coming, and of course we also have Square Burger."
