Watch Honey Boo Boo's Family Make 'Sketti'
If you haven't been watching the crazy reality TV show that is Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (seriously, where have you been?), here's a brief introduction: the show features Honey Boo Boo, a 6-year-old pageant performer actually named Alana, her family, and their strange home habits in McIntyre, Ga.
In this clip below, Mama June makes a recipe called "sketti," which is actually spaghetti topped of with a sauce made with a ton of Country Crock and some ketchup. Apparently it's a family favorite. (For the all the haters, June Shannon seems to not care about any criticism, telling the AP in an interview, "It's small town living. I don't have any trouble with anybody here or whatever, but people are going to have opinions. I mean, that's everyday life.")
Turns out, the family survives on $80 a week for groceries, which is fairly impressive, but somehow we don't think it's a particularly healthy diet. Still, there's a takeaway tip for knowing when the pasta is done (according to Mama June). Throw a strand against the wall, and f it sticks, it's ready to eat. Watch below.
