An Updated Sofitel Paris Arc De Triomphe Makes Its Comeback With Parisian Flair
Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe is officially open after full renovations to the flagship Paris hotel and now boasts an even stronger French sophistication. Imagined by the Studio Putman in collaboration with architectural agency IGLOO, new hotel sits a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe monument. The recent inauguration welcomed 800 guests including Robert Gaymer-Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Sofitel Worldwide; Olivia Putman, Studio Putman Artistic Director; Béatrice Schopflin, General Manager of Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe; gastronome and restaurateur José Da Rosa from Epicerie Da Rosa; and Rami Mekdachi.
With the concept of a Parisian pied-à-terre, the re-imagined Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe sits inside a beautifully-preserved Haussmanian façade, while inside offers soft colors, sleek lines and an array of textures for a more contemporary feel.
Among the changes is the re-interpreted guestrooms which now center around creating a sense of peace, rest and wellbeing in mind in the fast-paced city. The 124 rooms consist of 93 guestrooms, 19 suites, and two apartments. The all-feather MyBed™ beds — Sofitel's exclusive bedding concept — adds an extra touch of comfort to the room and is wrapped in an extra light down duvet. Contemporary furnishings, soothing blue tones and oversized bathrooms all reflect a welcoming atmosphere and lifestyle space.
"The hotel's design is about interconnecting spaces and underscoring how these can be used in several different ways. We invite guests to feel at home and adapt the spaces to their needs, whether they seek privacy or company, walls or openness," said Béatrice Schopflin, General Manager of the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe.
Taking the reins at the 64-seat L'Initial restaurant, Head Chef Thomas Bruno has fashioned a menu based around modern French cuisine, fresh and seasonal ingredients sourced from premium local producers, a lengthy wine list with over 100 grand crus. Speaking of drinks, the hotel bar is fashioned with a deli-café concept and offers classic cocktails alongside outstanding gastronomic terroir from France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Throughout the hotel, a number of amenities are available for guests like the 24/7 SoFit fitness center that provides exercise cards for those looking to follow a program to get the specific results they seek. Choose from Body Shape, Calorie Killer, Jet Lag, Urban Yoga or So Yoga.
