Kirkwood Youth Hockey Association is one of the oldest hockey associations in the St. Louis area. In 2013, the association was given the distinction by USA Hockey as being one of 11 'Model Associations' in the nation. Your child will learn fundamental and advanced hockey skills, sportsmanship and discipline. Since 1951, the Athletic Boys Club (ABC) has been offering youth sports programs. Run by a group of committed volunteers, ABC hosts year-round sports programs to encourage kids through athletics. The ABC fall soccer program has recreational level teams. Boys (age 4 through 13) and girls (age 4 through 17) are eligible to play. During the training session and on the field, kids will learn the values of honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority. The SPAA teaches kids not only game fundamentals, but allows each player time on the field. Mid Rivers Junior Football Association offers fall flag football, tackle football and cheerleading. Fall Flag Football is for kids in Pre-School, Kindergarten and First Grade. Pre-School players must be 4 years old by September 1st. Tackle Football teams are made up of kids entering the 2nd through 8th grades in 2014.
