Sweet Pumpkin Fries


Honey Mustard

This recipe mimics the sweet taste of deep-fried sweet potato fries without the after-meal guilt. These are much healthier since they aren't really fried, but are baked instead!

For the sweet pumpkin fries:

  • 2 pounds pumpkin, peeled and cut into fry-shaped pieces about 2-3 inches long and ¼-½-inch thick*
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the honey mustard dipping sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 ½ tablespoons honey
  • Pinch of cayenne


For the sweet pumpkin fries:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 

Toss the pumpkin pieces in olive oil, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon. Arrange the pumpkin pieces in 1 layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30 minutes or until soft enough that a toothpick easily goes through.

For the honey mustard dipping sauce:

Mix together the mustard, honey, and cayenne. Serve immediately.
